Our clients collaborate on a wide variety of sensitive material throughout the product lifecycle - from CAD drawings of product concepts to broadcast spots being readied for air. Accordingly, Octopz was designed with security as a foremost consideration.
Access
Clients, and their guests, are required to authenticate via username and password. This data is protected and encrypted at all times. System administrators in client companies can choose to have Octopz require users to set their own passwords on initial login (via a single use ticket), and/or to prompt users with challenge phrases.
Once logged in, users have only the access that their role allows for, and only to those rooms that they have either created or have been given access to. Octopz also automatically generates logs, which are available to system administrators, that provide an accounting of significant events.
Encryption
All user data (documents and markup) is fully encrypted with SSL, and is Versign certified.
Physical Security
Octopz's servers are hosted by Rackspace in data centres in Texas, Virginia, and the UK. Rackspace's network configuration was co-developed with Cisco, is highly redundant in order to protect against any possible points of failure, and utilizes the latest intrusion detection software. With a Tier 1 ranking, Rackspace strictly monitors access to all data centers using keycard protocols, biometric scanning protocols, continuous interior and exterior surveillance. The data centres also feature N+1 redundant power and HVAC, as well as industry leading fire suppression and UPS equipment.
